Olympic rowing medallist Vicki Hansford and former Chelsea and Wales international footballer Darren Barnard become friends of the Woking CFR Team
Members of the Woking CFR Team met Vicki Hansford and Darren Barnard to discuss their patronage of the Eagle Trust.
Vicki has recently won a gold medal at the Munich World Cup to go with her Paralympic bronze and World Rowing Championship silver medals. She said:
“The Woking Community Responder Team is doing a fantastic job in the local area. I fully support them and I am happy to be considered a friend of the scheme”.
We wish Vicki all the best in her training for the 2010 Virgin London Marathon.
Darren has 24 caps for Wales and played for Chelsea, Barnsley and Bristol City amongst others and is now Director of Football at Camberley Town. He said:
“During a recent game I actually saw a Community Responder in action so I understand the value the team brings to the local area”
